Credit ReportWhat is it?A credit report is a search conducted by IRB through the major credit reporting services to determine the credit status of the applicant. The information may include former addresses, list of creditors, amounts owed, payment history, charge-offs, collections, tax liens, public record judgments, bankruptcies, etc. Why Check? An IRB credit report can provide helpful information in determining the financial responsibility of an applicant and is particularly recommended for applicants who are applying for financial positions. It also may provide information as to previous employment, former addresses, payment history, aliases, etc., of the applicant. Also, by conducting an IRB credit report in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you are letting the public know that you are a responsible employer and recognize the intent to protect consumers. |
